VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a virtual private network in which client computers connect encrypted to a VPN server. This is, for example, part of a company or home network and enables the clients to connect to it.
Software for graphical operation
OpenVPN is a command line utility that works with the OpenVPN GUI
can be operated via a graphical user interface under Windows. This makes it possible to configure OpenVPN with the computer mouse. Linux users do not have this option and must perform the configuration on the command line.
Apps for mobile devices
The graphic operation is also available for the apps for the Android smartphone, tablet, iPhone and iPad. The apps are available as client software in the respective stores for Android and iOS.
